Portion Guide 

In the following section we have tried to give a short guide on how much meat we recommend per person for different products, this is based on average appetites and doesn’t allow for leftovers.

We have also provided a metric/imperial conversion table to help with any ordering requirements. As always, there is a skilled butcher on the end of the phone or behind our counter in the shop to answer any more specific questions or requirements 01276 65757.


CHRISTMAS

WHOLE TURKEY:

500g PER AVERAGE SERVING - e.g. A 6kg Turkey will do 12 average adult servings

TURKEY JOINTS:

200g - 250g PER AVERAGE SERVING - e.g. A 2kg Turkey crown will do 8 - 10 average adult servings

WHOLE GOOSE:

1kg PER AVERAGE SERVING - e.g. A 5kg Goose will do 5 average adult servings

RAW GAMMON JOINT:

250g PER AVERAGE SERVING - e.g. A 1kg Raw gammon joint will do 4 average adult servings

COOKED HAM JOINT:

200g PER AVERAGE SERVING - e.g. A 1kg Cooked ham joint will do 5 average adult servings
